FUDutsinma Imposes Mid-Semester Break Over Students' Protest

Sequel to the protest by students over the alleged killing of their colleague by the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), the management of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDutsinma), Katsina has declared a one-week mid-semester breaking starting February 24th.

The students began protesting on Sunday after accusing the JTF of shooting their fellow student, whom they reportedly suspected of being an informant. The demonstration continued into Monday morning.

Students were advised to vacate the campus by 6:00 p.m. on February 24.
