Yes, you saw that right, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has launched an application portal and mobile application where Nigerians can now edit their biodata, residence and contact information on their NIN.

How to Change Date of Birth, Name or Others on NIN

1. Visit http://selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng/
2. Register and login, input your NIN, verify with a face-match
3. Click on Date of Birth Modification category and proceed to complete your payment
4. Then input your digital NPC Birth or attestation certificate number and verify it. DOB Prefills To obtain your NPC Certificate, visit https://attestation.nationalpopulation.gov.ng/
5. Upload your NPC certificate and other supporting document, submit, check the attestation box to complete submission.
6. Applicant is notified when modification is approved, NIN slip is sent to your email and can also be downloaded or printed from the dashboard.
