Sani Bello Foundation Scholarship Programme, 2024 | How to Apply

Applications are open for the 2024 Sani Bello Foundation Scholarship programmes. Details on how to apply are as follows;

The Sani Bello Foundation Scholarship Programme is established to provide financial assistance to tertiary institution students in Nigeria who face challenges in paying their school fees. This initiative is part of the broader efforts of the Sani Bello Foundation to support education in the country.

Eligibility Criteria for Sani Bello Foundation Scholarship Programme

To be considered for the Sani Bello Foundation Scholarship Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Enrollment: Applicants must be registered as full-time students in a recognized tertiary institution within Nigeria. Part-time students are not eligible for this scholarship.

2. Institution Type: Only students enrolled in public tertiary institutions within Nigeria are eligible. Applicants from private institutions or foreign countries are not considered.

3. Academic Level: Applicants must be in their second year of study at the time of application.

4. Academic Qualification: Applicants must have a minimum of five credits in subjects including Mathematics and English Language from either WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, achieved in not more than two sittings.

5. Grade Point Average (GPA): Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 5-point scale.

6. Employment Status: Civil servants are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.


Required Documents:

Applicants must possess original copies of the following documents:

   - Birth certificate or Declaration of Age

   - Local Government Indigene Letter

   - O-level result

   - Secondary school testimonial

   - Transcript or Result Statement duly signed and stamped from school stating previous session CGPA results clearly

Submission Deadline:

Applicants must submit all required documents, along with a copy of their online registration printout, admission letter, school identity printout or valid means of school identification, and photocopy of departmental course registration forms, on or before the 1st of March, 2023.

The screening process begins upon submission of the required documents. Therefore, applicants are strongly advised to submit their documents in person to ensure timely processing.
