2023 Admission Cut-off Marks For All Tertiary Institutions To Be Announced June 24th At JAMB Policy Meeting
The cut-off marks to be used by all tertiary institutions in Nigeria for admission in 2023 would be announced on June 24th at the JAMB admission policy meeting.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in conjunction with heads of tertiary institutions, will hold the 2023 policy meeting to determine minimum cut-off marks and other issues for admissions into the 2023/2024 academic session. This event is scheduled to hold on June 24th, 2023.
The planned event will hold at the National Judicial Institute and will have in attendance all heads of tertiary institutions and regulatory bodies such as the National Universities Commission, National Board for Technical Education, the National Commission for Colleges of Education, among others.Last year, the idea of a general cut-off mark was scrapped and institutions were allowed to decide their own minimum cut–off marks. We'll see if there will be any notable difference this year.
Apart from the announcement of the minimum admission cut-off marks, the meeting will chart policy directions for the nation’s tertiary institutions, set admission guidelines, and make a holistic review of application statistics, performance, decide concessional and acceptable minimum admissions standards to be applied in all admissions to be undertaken by all tertiary institutions in Nigeria as well as evaluate the 2023 admission exercise.
The announcement of the cut-off marks will officially signal the commencement of the 2023/2024 admission exercise. This means that schools will start announcing sales of their Post-UTME forms almost immediately after the meeting. As usual. we will provide you updates regarding the cut-off marks and the Post-UTME announcements from the various schools.
