NPC to Shortlist Over 780,000 Ad-hoc Staff for 2023 Census
The National Population Commission (NPC) would shortlist a total number of 786,741 functionaries for the 2023 Population and Housing Census in Nigeria.
This was made known by the Director of Public Affairs of the commission, Isiaka Yahaya, Ph.D.

He disclosed that out of the 786,741 functionairies, 623,797 Adhoc staff would serve as Enumerators, 125,944 would serve as Supervisors, 24,001 as Data Quality Assistants, 12,000 as Field Coordinators, 1,000 as Data Quality Managers, 1,639 as Training Centre Administrators, while 59,000 as LGA level facilitators.
Isiaka also restated that the 2023 Census would hold on 29th March to 2nd April, 2023, and that training for functionaries for the census in all states of the federatoin and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) commenced today, 23rd January, 2023.
