BSU Announces Resumption Date Despite ASUU Strike

BSU Resumption Date: The authorities of the Benue State University, Makurdi (BSUM) has announced the resumption date for the continuation of academic activities in the varsity. This comes after the Federal Government directed that all Vice Chancellors should reopen their various varsities despite the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). Not quite long after that directive, the federal government through the National Universities Commission (NUC) withdrew the order.

Meanwhile, the notice released by the management of the Benue State University directing students to resume reads;

On the directive of the Vice-Chancellor, I write to inform all Staff, Members of the University Community and the General Public that the University will reopen with effect from Wednesday, 28th September, 2022.

All staff of the University are hereby expected to resume regular duties from Wednesday, 28th September, 2022.

The resumption date for all categories of students will be announced in due course.
