BUK Gets NUC's Accreditation for 6 Postgraduate Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation status to six (6) Postgraduate Programmes of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) hosted at the two Africa Centres of Excellence, Centre for Dryland Agriculture (CDA) and Africa Centre of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP).

In separate letters letter conveying the results of the Resource Verification/Accreditation of Postgraduate Academic Programmes of Africa Centres of Excellence in Nigerian Universities addressed to the Vice Chancellor, the NUC through its Director of Academic Planning, Dr. N.B Salihu, said it has granted the accreditation status on the CDA’s MSc Agricultural Technology and five others of the Africa Centre of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP). This brings to nine programmes of the Africa Centre of Excellence in Dryland Agriculture with full accreditation status by the apex regulatory body of the nation.

The ACEPHAP’s programmes being accredited are: MSc Global Health and Policy, Maternal Health and Policy, MSc Public Health Nutrition and Policy, MSc Public Mental Health and Policy and MSc Public Health Nursing and Policy.
