BUK Ranks 11th Best University in Nigeria

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has emerged 11 best University in Nigeria in the latest 2022 ranking released by the Webometrics ranking on February 9, 2022. 

The University was ranked in the mapping of Webometrics ranking of global universities for 2022 in Nigeria, Africa and across the Word. The report also showed that BUK emerged 92overall best university in Africa.

The Webometrics is  an  internationally  recognized  research institute  in  Europe  and  the  largest  public  research  body  in Spain. According to the statement released by the team leader in Nigeria,  Professor  Bolanle  Akinwande  said  they  were assigned  to  map  the  changes  in  Nigeria's  position  on  the Webometrics  ranking  before  and  upon  release  of  the January,  2022.

The  Vice  Chancellor,  Professor  Sagir  Adamu  Abbas  who was  delighted  over  the  ranking,  thanked  the  management, staff  and  students  for  their  efforts  in  making  BUK  what  it  is today. 

Professor  Abbas  urged  the  staff  and  students  to  strive harder  to  improve  their  visibility  by  sharing  their researches online. In  a  report  submitted  to  the  Vice  Chancellor  by  the Director,  Academic  Planning,  Professor  Haruna  Musa indicated  that  Bayero  University  has  maintained  its  11th position  just  like  last  year  and  move  forward  to  92   among the African  universities.
