Bingham University is a private
university owned by the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA). The main purpose
for ECWA to established the University was to meet the daring need for high
quality Secular Education which recognizes and integrates the moral and
spiritual values on which the Christian faith is founded as well as focuses on entrepreneurial
studies in order to promote self-reliance among graduates of the University.
It is one of the six private
universities in the north and the only one established by a Christian organization.
Bingham University was established in 2005 and it is located at Karu, Nasarawa
State, North-Central Nigeria. The university was granted a charter by the Nigeria University Commission (NUC) in 2005. Lectures commenced in 2006. Bingham University
has a Teaching Hospital that is located in Jos, Plateau Sate.
