Seven WAEC Candidates Test Positive for COVID-19 in Gombe State

Seven (7) WAEC candidates in Gombe state have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. See the details below.

Seven students of the Government Girl's College in Doma, Gombe state who are currently writing the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have tested positive to COVID-19.

This was disclosed by the Gombe State commissioner for education, Habu Dahiru on Wednesday, August 19 after 1,100 cases were tested, out of which the first case came from Government Science Secondary School.

The commissioner also pointed out that, the positive test will not stop the students from sitting for the exams.
