JAMB Spends N25m To Organize Football Competition For Tertiary Institutions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has approved N25m for the sponsorship of the 2nd
JAMB Tertiary Institutions Football Competition.
Secretary, Main Organising
Committee, JAMB Games 2018, Abdulateef Adedeji, has said this on Wednesday.

He spoke during an interview with
newsmen in Ilorin on the sidelines of the media briefing for the tournament.
Adedeji said the competition
would hold between September
30 and October
6.”
The Kwara State Commissioner of
Sports, Muideen Alalade, represented by
the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports, Samuel Ayobola, said 16 institutions comprising five universities, four polytechnics, five
colleges of education and two innovative enterprise institutions would
participate in the competition.
The Kwara State Director of
Sports, Tunde Kazeem, listed the schools
as Federal College of Education, Kano; Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo; Benue
College of Education, Katsina Alla; Delta State College of Education, Agbor;
and College of Education, Ikemona, Kwara State.
Others are Yaba College of
Education, Lagos; Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa State; Federal Polytechnic
Nekede, Imo State; Federal Polytechnic Kazaure, Jigawa State; University of
Ilorin; and four other universities.
He added that Aquitech College
of Agriculture and Technology, Ibadan; and Gloryland Institute of Management,
Ankpa, Kogi State would participate in the event.
Kazeem said the winners would
be rewarded with a trophy and N300,000 cash, N200,000 for the second-place team
and N100,000 for third-place finishers.
